Our Identity and How to Contact Us

This site is owned and operated by Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Church," "us" or like terms). Users can click HERE to contact us with questions or concerns. Items purchased from this site (with the exception of purchases originating in Mexico and the Philippines) are purchased from CPB and delivery will originate from the United States of America directly from CPB. Purchases originating in Mexico are processed on behalf of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico, Religious Association (the "Mexican Association") under an arrangement with Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sales will not be final until approved by the Mexican Association in Mexico. Purchases originating in the Philippines are processed on behalf of The Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines, Inc. ("APC") under an arrangement with Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sales will not be final until approved by APC in the Philippines.

Personal Information: Collection and Use

Personal Data. This site is open to the public, and any user may purchase items from this site, with some limitations on restricted items. To set up a personal profile to simplify the process when making regular purchases from this site, or to purchase restricted items (intended only for ecclesiastical leaders and members who meet certain criteria), users are required to register first with LDS Account—a website that provides Church membership verification and/or other personal identity verification of users. If you have not yet registered with LDS Account click here to register. When users access this site and make a purchase, they are required to submit certain personal information, including their name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number (some of the above information is automatically provided to this site by LDS Account). Users provide additional shipping information (preferred method of shipment and address) and payment information (credit card information and related data) to conclude a transaction. Payment information is not stored by this site and is collected directly by a third-party processor through its secure link only to facilitate the transaction. Specifically, no credit card information (including credit card numbers, expiration dates, billing, or other validating information) is transmitted, processed, or stored directly by this site. We may request, or users may voluntarily provide, other personal information from time to time for different features on the site, including participation in surveys and other information gathering activities.

All personal information obtained on this site is provided voluntarily by users. To the extent we retain personal profile information for users, they can update their personal information by going to the LDS Account site and editing (where permitted) their personal profile. Some LDS Account information can only be updated by making changes to the users' Church membership record and such changes must be done in users' local Church units. We do not set up personal profiles except using LDS Account provided information.

Third-Party Data. Where local law permits, users also may submit personal information of third parties, including their names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers, to order items or subscriptions for the third party. In this instance, the information collected is used solely to facilitate users' requests for delivery of items to third parties or to simplify the process of future orders or subscription renewals to the same third parties, and for no other purpose. When providing personal information about anyone other than themselves, users must obtain the other person's consent and provide that person access to this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We regard users' personal information as confidential and do not sell it or share it with other parties except in the limited circumstances described in this Privacy Policy. Please be aware that any information users may voluntarily choose to display on any publically available portion of this site becomes publically available and may be collected and used by others.

Third-party Providers. We do not sell your personal information. We may provide personal information of users to Church affiliated entities responsible for fulfillment of the transaction, to third parties for their use in performing internal functions on our behalf or on behalf of the Church affiliated entities (payment processing, maintenance, security, data analysis, hosting, and so forth). These providers are contractually required to abide by industry standards in performing these functions and are forbidden from using your personal information for any purpose other than fulfilling our request for services. We will never directly have access to your credit card or similar financial information through this site, but will be provided information by our payment processor on when payment was made and in what amount.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose users' personal information or other content if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is required by a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order or otherwise required by law. Additionally, we may disclose users' personal information and other information where we, in good faith, deem it appropriate or necessary to prevent a violation of our Rights and Use Information, or other agreements; to take precautions against liability; to protect the rights, property, or safety of this site, any individual, or the general public; to maintain and protect the security and integrity of our services or infrastructure; to protect ourselves and our services from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; to investigate and defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations; or to assist government enforcement agencies.

Site Activities: Collection and Use of Other Data

Cookies and Clear Gifs. In our effort to improve users' site experience, we use cookies and clear gifs to provide pages and features that are most compatible with users' preferences. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's system when a user visits a website. A clear gif is a graphic file, rather than a text file, that is similar in function to a cookie. Cookies and clear gifs do not identify the user personally; they simply identify the browser and track the settings, preferences, or features.

Internet Protocol ("IP") Addresses. When users request pages from our site, our servers may log their IP address in order to improve site administration.
