Sizing for Carinessa II garment tops
Women's Carinessa II garment tops are sized using your upper bust measurement. To find your correct size:
- Take your upper bust measurement by measuring snugly around the body, above the bust and just under the arms. Check the chart below to see which size corresponds to your upper bust measurement. (Note that most garment sizes can accommodate size A, B, C, and D cups, with a few exceptions for smaller sizes as indicated below.)
- If your measurements fall outside any of the size boxes, choose the nearest size box.
- If your measurements fall near the edges of two boxes, consider your fit preference; if you prefer a tight fit, you might prefer the smaller size.
If necessary, you can call Customer Support for help finding a good fit.
Tall and Petite Sizes
All sizes of Carinessa II tops are available in Petite, Regular, and Tall styles. Compared to Regular, Petite styles are 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) higher in the neckline and 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) shorter at the hem, or 1 inch (2.5 cm) shorter overall. Tall styles are 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) lower in the neckline and 1 inch (2.5 cm) longer at the hem, or 11/5 inches (3.8 cm) longer overall.
Sizing for Garment Tops in Other Fabrics
Women's garment tops in other fabrics are sized by bust measurement. To find your correct size, measure around the fullest part of your chest, and then find that measurement and its corresponding garment top size on the sizing chart. Garment tops are available in petite, regular, or tall sizes.
|Alpha Size||Numeric Size||Bust|
The tall size is approximately one inch (2.5 cm) longer from the shoulder to the underbust area and one inch (2.5 cm) longer from the underbust area to the bottom hem.
The petite size is approximately one inch (2.5 cm) shorter from the shoulder to the underbust seam and one inch (2.5 cm) shorter from the underbust seam to the bottom hem. Select garment top styles are available to ship to U.S. addresses in petite sizes but are not available online. Please call Customer Support for availability and assistance.
Regular-sized garment tops are cut for a B cup. Full-cup garment tops are equivalent to a DD cup. If you are full figured but not quite full-cup size, you may want to select a tall-size garment with a round neckline, which should fit more comfortably through the bust and shoulder areas. If you wear a larger size, you may want to try a maternity top, which flares at the midriff but fits smaller shoulders. Maternity and nursing garments are also available in a full-cup style.
Nursing mothers may find that garments with a round neck work well because of the elastic edge, which can be stretched as needed. Nursing mothers may also be more comfortable wearing a tall-size garment one size larger than usual.
Other fabric tips
Carinessa II is a stretchy fabric that allows the garment to move and stretch with the wearer. Outer clothing glides over it easily.
Tops made of cotton or a cotton blend help keep the bra and bra straps in place. If the garment frequently slips off your shoulders, try a round neckline. The elastic edge should keep the garment on your shoulders better.
